JOIN THE CHURCH. Church membership is commonly misunderstood these days. We look at the word member and think of our local country club or Costco. However, the Bible doesn’t use the term in the same way. One clear picture the Bible gives us of church membership is in 1 Corinthians 12. He explains we are all members of one body, the church, in which Christ is the head. Members are important parts of the body and each has an important role to play.
We would love to talk with you about what it means to follow Christ and join our fellowship here at Vansickle Baptist. The New Member & Guest Luncheon is the best place to learn more about what church membership means, the vision of Vansickle Baptist, and discover how you play an important role here. We have them on a quarterly basis. Email or call the church for more information or to RSVP for the next one.
You can also come forward during the invitation portion of the worship service each Sunday morning. Simply put, we believe the Scriptures require two things to become a member of our church: 1) Accept Jesus Christ as Lord, and 2) Be baptized by immersion. Joining a church means that you support the vision and direction of the church, and so you certainly want to check out what we believe.
