God created each of us to have a relationship with Him. That’s why everything we do in worship is designed to help you build your relationship with God and help you engage in meaningful dialogue with Him. Music is a powerful medium through which are souls are often stirred; thus, we offer a blended musical service, mixing contemporary with new arrangements of some of our favorite traditional hymns.
While music is important, so too are the messages we share… messages from the Bible that are relevant to all aspects of everyday life. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, God wants for you to experience HIM. Come meet with God — Each Sunday at 10:30 am
What We Believe About Worship
Worship is our personal and corporate response to God, in spirit and in truth, for Who He is, and what He has done. It is expressed by what we say, sing and the way we live. It is a lifestyle lived in surrender and praise to our Lord in all we do. Whether our music is loud or soft, fast or slow, new or old, with a full band or without, matters little in comparison to the message of the song. We believe our enjoyment and praise of the Lord brings Him glory, so praise is not ultimately about what we want, need, desire, or prefer. Worship is an end in itself and He is all we need.
Opportunities to Serve
Praise Band (Rehearsal Time: Wednesdays 6:45-8:00 PM) – Worship Center
This is a select instrumental group that leads out in weekly services – acoustic, rhythm, electric, and bass guitars, piano, keyboard, and drums. Must be proficient on instrument with the ability to read lead charts, chord charts, and/or music. We are always looking for additional talent to add to this group and we work on a rotating basis. If you are interested in possibly being a part of the praise band, please contact the church office to schedule an interview/audition.
Worship Choir (Rehearsal Time: Wednesdays 7:30-8:45 PM) – Worship Center/Choir Suite
As a Vansickle member, you have the opportunity to be a part of one of our most dynamic ministries in the church. We are seeking people who have passion for praise to come alongside us as we lead our church family. The worship choir is open to all individuals youth and up, there is no audition required, and ability to read music is not necessary. Being a part of the Vansickle Worship Choir will not only change your life, but you will also be directly involved in impacting countless lives for the glory of God.
If you have a passion for worship and a desire to lead the church in praise, then come by a rehearsal and join us and see if the worship ministry is where God is leading you!
Media Team (Volunteer times: Wednesdays 6:45-8:00 PM and Sundays meet at 8:00 AM)
The media team provides unique audio and visual support to enhance the weekend services and special events. The media team is always looking to add more creative people to this team, so if you are technically savvy and have experience in running sound, lighting, or power point, or would like to learn, come by a rehearsal and join us!
