This summer we will be heading to Falls Creek up in Oklahoma for our youth camp, July 12th-17th. I know, I know: “Falls Creek?,” you’re thinking. Though none of our youth are familiar with Falls Creek, many, MANY people are. Falls Creek is the largest youth camp in the WORLD. They are capable of hosting up to 7,000 students in one week! One Week! That is remarkable. And, while the size itself is pretty awesome, the things that happen during a week at Falls Creek are even more incredible.
We will be staying in our own cabin which holds up to 43 people (20 guys, 20 girls, and 3 cooks). The Cabin is owned and maintained by First Baptist Church of Milburn, OK. If you’re curious, you can check out the cabin here. As mentioned, we will have to do our own cooking for the group… but hopefully that means better food. We are still looking for cooks, so that remains to be seen.
Recreation is a major part of camp! They have numerous tournaments for churches to compete in the following events: 3-point basketball shoot out, disc golf, horseshoes, softball, and volleyball. Additionally, they also have one of the largest skate parks in the country; although, I don’t know how many of you skate. The High Ropes Challenge Course is certainly one of the highlights of the camp. There is also a 5K run on Friday morning for students and sponsors to compete in.
We are going during the 6th week of Falls Creek (July 12th-17th) and our leaders will include, for worship, the Chris Orr Band and as our camp pastor, Tony Lambert. The theme for the camp is “SENT” (you can read more about theme below).
We are having our annual Dinner and Dessert Auction on April 18th. You can help to offset the cost of camp by bringing desserts, and helping to serve. Our Goal for camp is to raise $3,500.
We are accepting registrations now. To reserve your (student’s) spot, we need a non-refundable $40 deposit by April 25th. After this date, there will be a late registration fee of $20. So, sign up now for what is going to be one of the best weeks ever.

John 17:18 — The truth is, we all have been sent. Jesus was SENT into this world to rescue us. He was SENT to save. Likewise, Jesus SENT us into our homes, communities, and world with His message of salvation. We are SENT to share. No matter what we do, where we go, or who we meet, the inescapable directive of our lives is this: We are SENT.
